Bucks' Matthew Dellavedova: Running with the starters to begin camp

Dellavedova ran with the Bucks' first unit during Tuesday's practice, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

The Bucks' starting lineup is still very much in flux following the recent news that Khris Middleton would miss most of the season with a torn hamstring, but the team's desire to include three-point shooters in its lineup certainly helps Dellavedova's cause to stick on the top unit. Dellavedova was targeted by the Bucks in free agency specifically because of his shooting skills, and though he was able to hit 41 percent of his three-pointers last season thanks in part to playing alongside LeBron James, he'll have the benefit of suiting up next to another emerging playmaker in Giannis Antetokounmpo. With Antetokounmpo and Michael Carter-Williams in the fold, Dellavedova may spend more time off the ball in Milwaukee than he did in Cleveland, which could hurt his assist numbers but aid his scoring and three-point production.
