Bucks' Khris Middleton: Will undergo surgery Wednesday

Middleton (hamstring) is slated to undergo surgery Wednesday in New York, Charles F. Garnder of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Middleton revealed that he tore his left hamstring last week after slipping on a wet spot on the court during a workout. Initial reports indicated that Middleton would be sidelined for approximately six months while he recovers from the surgery, but the swingman himself said he's not placing a timetable on his return. Either way, it's expected that Middleton's absence will at the very least stretch into the second half of the season, making him worth avoiding in most fantasy leagues, even as someone to stash on the bench. The Bucks are expected to use a number of different players to cover Middleton's minutes, with Rashad Vaughn, Matthew Dellavedova and Mirza Teletovic just a few of the names expected to benefit.
