Pacers' Thaddeus Young: To start at power forward

Coach Nate McMillan confirmed Monday that Young will open the season as the Pacers' starting power forward, Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reports.

Analysis:

McMillan revealed his entire projected lineup, noting that, unsurprisingly, Young will start alongside Myles Turner, Paul George, Monta Ellis and Jeff Teague. Young enjoyed one of the best individual seasons of his career as a member of the Nets last season, averaging 15.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals in 33.0 minutes per game. As he enters a much better basketball situation, Young's statistical output may take a slight dip, but he's been one of the more consistent forwards in the league over the last several seasons, and that's unlikely to change.
