Pacers' Jeff Teague: Fully healthy for training camp

Teague (kneecap) acknowledged Wednesday that he's fully healthy after resting up for most of the summer, Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reports.

Analysis:

Shortly after the Hawks were eliminated from the postseason, Teague posted on his Instagram account that he had been playing through a torn patellar tendon in his knee. While surgery wasn't required, Teague may have been limited a bit more than usual in his preparation for the upcoming season, though he mentioned that he's been participating in five-on-five drills for the past two weeks. In addition to returning from injury, Teague will have to adjust to playing for a new team for the first time in his career, after the Hawks shipped him to the Pacers in a pre-draft trade in June. He's slated to start at point guard for the Pacers, but may be asked to sacrifice some shot attempts while playing alongside superstar Paul George and capable veterans Monta Ellis and Thaddeus Young.
