The Washington Wizards are taking every precaution when it comes to their star point guard.

John Wall underwent surgery on both knees this summer, and although it was initially predicted that he would return in time for the season, recent reports suggest he might not be ready for training camp.

Head coach Scott Brooks didn't offer a timeline on Wall's return, but he did mention to Ben Standig of CSN Mid-Atlantic that the Wizards will give him all the time he needs.

"We're in no rush," Brooks said. "We want to make sure that he's ready. It's a process. We still have all of training camp. We'll see. We're going to keep working, keep pushing him. The one thing about John. He puts the work in."

Brooks added that Wall had progressed to doing one-on-one work, and that he is spending every day in the gym as part of his rehab.

Despite battling an assortment of nagging injuries last season, Wall led the Wizards in minutes played across 77 appearances, averaging 19.9 points, 10.2 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
