Wade: I would let LeBron order food for me before my wife
Find someone who orders food for you the way LeBron James orders for his bosom buddy, Dwyane Wade.
"LeBron is one of my best friends. When we eat out he’s like, ‘You should try this,’ and he knows exactly what to order for me," Wade said in a recent interview with Food and Wine's Christine Quinlan.
Their bond is so strong that when it comes to the dinner table, the newly signed Chicago Bulls star would defer to The King before his wife (actress Gabrielle Union) when it comes to what he'll be eating.
"This might get me in trouble, but I would have LeBron order for me before I would let my wife. She’d get me nine different things to be sure there’s something I like. LeBron just knows," Wade added.
The three-time NBA champion considers himself a food connoisseur of sorts, although he rarely cooks for himself during the regular season. When he does, Wade tends to keep it rather simple.
"To help keep me in shape and eating right, my wife and I have a chef making meals for us at home during the season," he said. "But we cook a little. If I have to get in the kitchen, then I'm doing breakfast food. I'm pretty good with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and French toast, too. I like breakfast anytime,, day or night."
