Lakers' Julius Randle: Cleared to start shooting
Lakers coach Luke Walton said Wednesday that Randle (finger) was able to resume shooting, but will still need to be reevaluated in two weeks before he's cleared to perform full basketball activities, Mike Bresnahan of Time Warner Cable SportsNet reports.
Analysis:
Randle required seven stitches in between his right middle and ring fingers after suffering a cut during a workout Monday, but since his left hand is his dominant one, the injury won't bother him during shooting drills. He's expected to receive full clearance once he's reexamined in two weeks and appears in little danger of missing the start of training camp in late September.
