Thunder's Domantas Sabonis: Inks rookie contract

Sabonis signed a rookie-scale contract with the Thunder on Friday, NBA.com reports.

Analysis:

The Thunder didn't have a chance to evaluate Sabonis during the summer league, but the former Gonzaga standout has gained some exposure on the international stage while suiting up for Lithuania in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Once the Olympics conclude, Sabonis will turn his attention toward his rookie season with the Thunder and should immediately challenge for a rotation role. He could open the season as the team's fourth big man after Steven Adams, Enes Kanter and Ersan Ilyasova.
