Rockets' Michael Beasley: Has contract guaranteed for 2016-17

The Rockets fully guaranteed Beasley's $1.4 million contract for the 2016-17 season, ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports.

Analysis:

Beasley was one of the few pleasant stories to come out of the Rockets' disappointing 2016-17 season, as the former No. 2 overall pick excelled in a bench role after joining the team in March following the conclusion of his season in China. He averaged 12.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists in just 18.2 minutes per game over 20 regular-season appearances, and could see his court time grow in 2016-17 with few other established options on hand in the Rockets' frontcourt.
