Bulls' Jerian Grant: Turns it around in summer league

Grant averaged 12.7 points, 3.9 assists and 2.9 boards in 25.9 minutes per game across seven appearances for the Bulls' Las Vegas Summer League championship-winning squad.

Analysis:

Grant eclipsed double figures in the scoring column in five of his seven games, highlighted by a 24-point, 10-rebound outing in the championship win over the Timberwolves, earning him MVP honors for the contest. After a slow start to summer league play, Grant was able to finish on a strong note, but still shot a discouraging 34.9 percent from the field and 22 percent from downtown during his nine games. As he prepares for his second NBA season, Grant will compete with Isaiah Canaan for the top backup role at point guard behind starter Rajon Rondo.
