Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Signs rookie contract

Murray signed his rookie contract with the Nuggets on Tuesday, BSN Denver's Harrison Wind reports.

Analysis:

He's the second of the Nuggets' three first-round picks to sign, leaving Juan Hernangomez as the lone holdout. Murray, the seventh overall pick in June's draft, just wrapped up a productive Las Vegas Summer League in which he averaged 19.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. With the Nuggets reiterating that Gary Harris is their starting shooting guard alongside second-year point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, Murray figures to serve as the Nuggets' first guard off the bench during his rookie season.
