Two days after losing Dwyane Wade to free agency, the Miami Heat have begun the process of reassembling the roster.

Miami reportedly agreed to a one-year, $5-million deal with free-agent forward Derrick Williams on Friday, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Williams has failed to develop into a star after being selected with the second pick in the 2011 draft, but is coming off a solid season with the New York Knicks. The 25-year-old appeared in a career-high 80 games, averaging 9.3 points on 45 percent shooting in addition to grabbing 3.7 rebounds in 17.9 minutes.

The five-year veteran, who hit free agency after opting out his $4.59 million contract for the 2016-17 season, gives the Heat additional depth at the forward position behind Justise Winslow and Chris Bosh, who has yet to be medically cleared to return to playing.

With the deal, Miami has about $15 million in cap space remaining.
