Cavaliers' Richard Jefferson: Re-signs with Cavaliers

Jefferson re-signed with the Cavaliers on Wednesday, Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Originally after winning his first NBA title back in June, the 36-year-old announced he would be retiring from the league after a noteworthy 15-year career. However after giving it more thought, Jefferson retracted his retirement statement and will now play at least two more seasons after inking his name to a new two-year deal on Wednesday night. The veteran forward saw an expanded role during the NBA Finals compared to a quiet season in which he averaged 5.5 points and 1.7 rebounds over 17.9 minutes per game. While he isn't likely to produce much fantasy value next season, he'll still be an intricate part of the Cavaliers' system as one of the veteran leaders.
