Bulls' Rajon Rondo: Signs a two-year deal with the Bulls

Rondo has signed to a two-year, $28 million deal with the Bulls, Marc J. Spears of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

The 30-year-old NBA veteran point guard fills a need for the Bulls as Derrick Rose departs to the Knicks. With averages of 11.9 points, 11.7 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game in 35 minutes during the 2016-17 NBA season, Rondo can still hang with the best of NBA point guards. Along with Jose Calderon, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Jerian Grant, the Bulls have a log jam at the point guard position, though Rondo appears to be the head-and-shoulders choice above those players in terms of running a team. This move could also mean the end of Aaron Brooks' time with the Bulls.
