Spurs' Kawhi Leonard: Not expected to play in Olypmpics
Leonard has withdrawn his name from consideration for the United States' roster for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
Leonard issued a statement Thursday on his decision to withdraw from the Olympics, but didn't specify why exactly he chose to opt out. Nonetheless, Leonard's absence will deprive the U.S. of their top wing defender, but the team is still plenty stacked at the small forward spot with all of Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and Paul George committing to play in Rio.
