Thunder's Kevin Durant: Commits to Team USA

Durant announced Monday that he would suit up for Team USA in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Royce Young of ESPN.com reports.

With several major stars (Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook and James Harden, to name a few) sitting out of the competition, Durant could be the centerpiece of the United States squad. Durant started in all eight contests for the gold medal-winning U.S. team at the 2012 Games in London, averaging a team-high 19.5 points in 26.0 minutes per game.
