Lue says Cavs still confident: 'History is made to be broken'

The Cleveland Cavaliers just got spanked by the Warriors in Golden State, by the most lopsided margin through two games in NBA Finals history. But now they're headed back home - where they've yet to lose this postseason - for Games 3 and 4, and they're confident they can find a way to turn the series around.

"We're not discouraged," head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters Tuesday. "The series isn't over until someone wins four games."

Added Lue: "History is made to be broken."

Truisms aside, the Cavs know they're up against it. Though Game 3 doesn't officially qualify as an elimination game, LeBron James called it a "do-or-die" contest for his team.

Lue also seems to understand that something needs to change for the Cavs, aside from just returning to the familiar confines of Quicken Loans Arena. He said he and the rest of the coaching staff have discussed tweaking their lineup for Game 3, though he wouldn't delve into any specifics.

The place the Cavs find themselves in is not dissimilar to where they themselves put the Toronto Raptors in the conference finals. The Cavs won Games 1 and 2 by a combined 50 points, but the Raptors rebounded behind a vociferous home crowd to level the series at two games apiece. They ran out of steam after that, though, losing the next two games by a combined 64.
