Patriots' Knighton plans to lure Durant to Boston this summer

New England Patriots defensive tackle Terrance Knighton will be spending his summer recruiting Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant to Boston.

Knighton first shared his intention of bringing Durant to Boston in April, and told reporters at the Patriots' offseason workouts that he'll be ramping up his efforts in the coming weeks.

"I'm leaving him alone right now. Letting him finish up," Knighton said earlier this week, according to ESPN's Chris Forsberg.

But once Durant's season is over, Knighton plans to put some serious pressure on him.

There will be no escaping Knighton for the soon-to-be free agent.

"I love how he's playing. I hope that he wins (an NBA title), kind of hope that he doesn't," Knighton said. "But as soon as the season's over, if he's hoisting the trophy or not, I'll be texting him every day, calling him, flying down to OKC. I'll be in his ear a lot. Trust me."
