Report: Heat complained to league about calls going Hornets way

The Miami Heat will seemingly stop at nothing to get a favorable call.

The Heat complained to the "highest levels of the league office" regarding calls going Jeremy Lin's and Kemba Walker's way in Game 4, ESPN's Marc Stein reports. Miami's whining reportedly irritated the Hornets, creating an increase in tension between the two squads.

Lin and Walker combined to shoot 16 free throws that game, as the Hornets narrowly defeated Miami 89-85. Both players rank among the top 15 in free-throw attempts this postseason.

Although Miami has been vocal about their displeasure with the officials, they do have the numbers to back up their claim. The Heat have drawn the second-fewest fouls among playoff teams during their first-round series, while Charlotte sits in the top half, ranking sixth.

Tied 3-3, the Heat will hope to see a whistle or two go their way in Game 7, as they attempt to win their first playoff series since LeBron James' departure.
