Small forward Nicolas Batum returned in the Charlotte Hornets' Game 5 matchup against the Miami Heat on Wednesday.

Batum missed the last two contests for the Hornets after suffering an ankle injury in Game 2. Charlotte performed surprisingly well without its starting small forward, winning back-to-back games at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Batum came off the bench midway through the first quarter to ease his transition back into the lineup.

In two postseason games, Batum is averaging 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and two assists on 40 percent shooting.

Tied 2-2, Charlotte will try to steal a game at American Airlines Arena on Wednesday.
