NBA Game Summary - Minnesota vs. Chicago

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Ricky Rubio tallied 19 points and five assists and the Minnesota Timberwolves capped an impressive preseason with a 113-112 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Thaddeus Young and Anthony Bennett scored 17 points apiece, and Minnesota's reserves held off Chicago's starting unit down the stretch to secure the win. Rookie Zach LaVine's free throws in the final seconds put the game out of reach.

The Timberwolves head into their regular season opener against Memphis following a 5-2 preseason.

One game after scoring a preseason-high 30 points against Cleveland, Derrick Rose poured in 27 to lead five Bulls in double figures. Mike Dunleavy added 17 points while Joakim Noah did the dirty work, pulling down 17 rebounds and dishing out nine assists.

Chicago kicks off its regular season in New York on Oct. 29 against the Knicks.
