NBA Game Summary - New Orleans vs. Miami

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Jimmer Fredette scored 17 points and the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Miami Heat, 98-86, in the 2014 NBA preseason opener.

Luke Babbitt posted 15 points and six rebounds, and Ryan Anderson, Austin Rivers and Russ Smith each netted 12 points for the Pelicans. Anthony Davis tallied five points, four rebounds and three blocks in 11 minutes of action.

James Ennis had 17 points and six boards for Miami. Chris Bosh recorded nine points on just 3-of-13 shooting and Dwyane Wade added six points in defeat.
