NBA Game Summary - Atlanta at Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Paul Millsap supplied 23 points, nine rebounds and three assists as the Atlanta Hawks got back on track with a 96-87 win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.

Kyle Korver posted 14 points and Al Horford contributed 12 points with seven rebounds for Atlanta, which had an unexpected 115-102 loss at Denver on Wednesday to open a six-game road trip.

"We got easier looks as the game went on," Korver said. "Once we hit a couple, it kind of rolled for us."

Markieff Morris led the Suns with 22 points and Eric Bledsoe notched 21 points and six assists in the loss.

Marcus Morris added 18 points in Phoenix's third loss in four games.

Phoenix led by two with under eight minutes left in the fourth when Millsap fired in a 3-pointer that started a string of three straight from beyond the arc for Atlanta that gave it an 86-79 lead.

Korver and Millsap later wrapped 3s around a Marcus Morris jumper that pushed Atlanta's margin to 94-85 as the Hawks shook off their surprising loss the other night to win for the second time in three games.

"We played well for three quarters, then they had that stretch. Then we ran out of gas," said Phoenix coach Jeff Hornacek.

The game was tied in the latter stages of the first when Atlanta ended the frame on a 9-4 run to grab a 28-23 lead after 12 minutes.

The Hawks stretched their margin to nine over the first 4 1/2 minutes of the second, but Archie Goodwin canned a 3-pointer that closed a 10-0 run for a 40-39 Phoenix lead. The Suns managed to take a 50-48 lead into the half.

Korver tied the game out of the break with a jumper, then Marcus Morris, P.J. Tucker and Eric Bledsoe each knocked down a 3-pointer before Marcus Morris capped the 11-0 run with a layup for a 61-50 lead. Markieff Morris converted a jumper in the closing seconds to send the Suns into the fourth with a 73-65 edge.
