NBA Game Summary - LA Lakers at Denver

Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Kobe Bryant had a triple-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets 111-103 on Tuesday night.

Carlos Boozer posted 19 points and nine rebounds, Ronnie Price netted 18 points and Wesley Johnson added 16 for the Lakers, who had dropped six of their last seven games coming in.

"Very very efficient ... an old-school Oscar Robertson style," Bryant said.

Ty Lawson supplied 16 points and nine assists and Jusuf Nurkic provided 16 points and eight boards for Denver, which has dropped four of its last five contests.

"Our first unit didn't play with the same kind of energy as the second unit did," Denver coach Brian Shaw said.

After Arron Afflalo knocked down a jumper to pull Denver within 33-31 in the opening seconds of second, the Lakers countered with a 15-1 run to seize control.

Wayne Ellington nailed a pair of 3-pointers during the surge, which was capped on his second triple for a 48-32 cushion midway through the frame.

LA led 62-46 at the break.

The Lakers led by as many as 23 in the third before taking an 83-71 spread into the fourth.

LA was up 101-89 midway through the final frame before Nate Robinson finished off a 7-0 spurt with a layup to get the Nuggets within 101-96 with 4:04 remaining.

Bryant, though, sunk five straight foul shots to up the Lakers' advantage to 106-96 and Denver never got within less than seven the rest of the way.
