NBA Game Summary - Minnesota at Detroit

Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Josh Smith's 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds left lifted the Detroit Pistons over the Minnesota Timberwolves, 99-98, in the final preseason game for both teams.

Prior to Smith's game-winner, J.J. Barea drove in for a layup with 3.6 seconds left to give Minnesota a 98-96 lead.

Smith netted 20 points, while Andre Drummond added 11 points and 20 rebounds for Detroit, which hosts the Washington Wizards Wednesday to kick off its season.

Kevin Love had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who open up their campaign Wednesday in Minnesota against the Orlando Magic.
