NBA Game Summary - Detroit at Miami

Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Dwyane Wade scored 30 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out five assists as the Miami Heat pulled away for a 102-96 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Monday.

Wade's performance somewhat overshadowed LeBron James' own all-around effort, as the reigning MVP totaled 24 points, 11 assists and eight boards in Miami's fifth win in the last six games.

Brandon Jennings led Detroit with 26 points, Rodney Stuckey added 20 and Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond both recorded double-doubles in a losing effort.

The Pistons, winners of two straight coming in, are one of just four teams that has knocked off the Heat in Miami this season. They stayed close Monday before committing seven of their 21 turnovers in the fourth quarter.

Ray Allen opened the final stanza with a 3-pointer that started a 14-5 Heat run over the next seven minutes.

The Pistons found themselves down by 15, 100-85, following Wade's 3-pointer and running hook shot, and the Heat held on despite Detroit's 11-2 finish.

Wade, James and Chris Bosh combined to make all eight of their shots for 24 points in the first quarter, and Jennings' 13 points in the opening frame kept the Pistons close.

After trailing 32-29 heading to the second, Jennings made a free throw that pushed Detroit in front by one, 48-47, with 4:36 left in the opening half, but Miami scored 16 of the next 19 points and the Pistons never led again.

Detroit went on a 10-1 spurt spanning the halves to get within three, 64-61, and the teams traded runs from there, with Allen's buzzer-beating 3-pointer from the right wing giving Miami an 84-80 edge with 12 minutes to go.
