NBA Game Summary - Toronto at Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Patrick Patterson picked off a Deron Williams pass and buried a go-ahead jumper with six seconds left to lift the Toronto Raptors to a 104-103 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday at Barclays Center.

With Brooklyn holding a one-point lead with 12 seconds to play, Williams lobbed an inbounds pass into the backcourt that Patterson intercepted before dishing to Kyle Lowry.

Lowry was double-teamed near the top of the key, forcing him to pass back to Patterson, who waited for Williams to fly by before draining the short jumper to put Toronto on top.

Paul Pierce's contested 3-pointer from the right wing found the front of the rim as time expired and the Raptors escaped with the victory.

Lowry finished with 31 points, seven assists, five rebounds and five steals, while Jonas Valanciunas scored 20 points and grabbed 13 boards for the Raptors, who have won three of their last four to extend their lead over Brooklyn atop the Atlantic Division to 2 1/2 games.

Pierce knocked down seven triples en route to a season-high 33 points, while Andray Blatche added 20 points off the bench for Brooklyn, which had a five- game win streak halted and dropped to 10-2 in 2014, with both losses coming against Toronto.
