Watch: Saint Preux taps De Lima with rare Von Flue choke

Ovince Saint Preux broke out an uber-rare submission for a much-needed victory.

The Tennessee product tapped Marcos Rogerio de Lima with a Von Flue choke just over two minutes into the second round of their 210-pound catchweight bout at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville to snap a three-fight skid and keep the chopping block at arm's length.

Saint Preux is now the promotion's only fighter to record two wins via the seldom-seen submission. The first came at the expense of Nikita Krylov more than three years ago at UFC 171.

The 34-year-old wasn't nearly as impressive in the opening round, as the hulking De Lima kept him from getting inside with a steady stream of thunderous kicks. Saint Preux's flaws nearly ended him, his unease with fighting his way from the fence nearly palpable, but he put all that behind him in Round 2.

The Haitian sensation made it his fight from the second-round bell, blitzing the Brazilian to the canvas before putting in work with some nasty ground-and-pound. De Lima coiled his arm around Saint Preux's neck as he tried to pass guard, but "OSP" made him pay for the blunder with a choke he anointed his calling card postfight.

In addition to missing weight for the second straight time, "Pezao" has now alternated wins and losses over his last six fights, and sees his UFC record fall to 4-3 in his first bout in the Octagon to go past the first round.
