Guida-Koch on tap for UFC Oklahoma City

Kyle Terada / USA TODAY

Clay Guida will look to snap a two-fight skid when he meets Erik Koch in a lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night 112 in Oklahoma City on June 25.

The matchup was announced Wednesday on "UFC Tonight."

"The Carpenter" returns to 155 pounds after a streaky run at featherweight that saw him win just three of seven bouts. Guida tapped to Thiago Tavares in under a minute back in November 2015 before falling to Brian Ortega by third-round KO at UFC 199 in his most recent outing. He takes a promotional record of 12-11 into his date at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

A former featherweight himself, Koch will look for his second straight win in his fourth lightweight clash, having submitted Shane Campbell in his last trip to the Octagon in May. The 28-year-old Roufusport product holds a 4-3 UFC record.

A main event has yet to be attached to the Oklahoma show, which features a featherweight bout between BJ Penn and Dennis Siver, as well as a middleweight dance between Johny Hendricks and Tim Boetsch.
