The boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal is moving from June 1 to July 6, sources told MMA reporter Ariel Helwani.

The bout's location is reportedly also being changed, as the event will now take place at Honda Center in Anaheim instead of Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

There are multiple reasons for the changes, according to Helwani, who notes that avoiding conflict with UFC 302 was a major factor. The promotion's pay-per-view event - headlined by a fight between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier - is also scheduled for June 1.

The Diaz-Masvidal pay-per-view will be 10 rounds and take place at light heavyweight (175 pounds). Masvidal previously defeated Diaz in a UFC bout in 2019 to claim the inaugural BMF title.

The 39-year-old Diaz left the UFC as a free agent in 2022 and made his boxing debut last August, losing a unanimous decision to Jake Paul.

Meanwhile, Masvidal retired from MMA in April 2023 after suffering his fourth consecutive loss in a unanimous decision defeat to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. The 39-year-old, however, recently said he's "definitely" going back to the UFC at some point.
