Welterweight Bout: Randy Brown def. Brian Camozzi via 2nd-round TKO

Randy Brown brought a premature, unceremonious end to Brian Camozzi's UFC debut.

"Rude Boy" followed a nasty knee by raining fists on the newcomer's head to earn the stoppage at the 1:25 mark of the second round of their welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night 102 in Albany, N.Y. on Friday. The victory, Brown's second straight, capped a busy year that saw him go 3-1 in the Octagon.

Not surprisingly, Brown got off to a quick start, stalking Camozzi against the cage before scoring a takedown, a move Camozzi would make him rue with an armbar attempt. The Jamaican product’s attempts to slam his way out of the submission proved fruitless, but he managed to close the first round with yet another takedown and ground-and-pound after calmly working his way out Camozzi’s clutches.

The newcomer tried to give Brown a taste of his own medicine in the second, but “Rude Boy” promptly regained control of the clinch before flooring Camozzi with a knee straight to the noggin. Brown then rained a few extra fists on the helpless Camozzi, at which point referee John McCarthy had seen enough.

Camozzi's failed UFC debut snaps a five-fight win streak that saw him finish four opponents in the first round. His professional record now stands at 7-3.

Middleweight Bout: Gerald Meerschaert def. Joe Gigliotti via 1st-round submission (anaconda choke)

Gerald Meerschaert made his UFC debut with plenty of pro experience under his belt and it showed.

The 33rd professional fight for "GM3" was a special one as he scored a first-round anaconda-choke submission of Joe Gigliotti to make good on his first UFC appearance.

It was the sixth straight win for Meerschaert, with every win in that streak coming by knockout or submission. Five of those wins have occurred in the first round.

Ironically, it was Gigliotti who wanted to turn this one into a grappling match. He latched on to Meerschaert early and often until he finally got him down with a single-leg attempt. The more experienced Meerschaert scrambled free before nailing a funky-looking throw that nearly dropped Gigliotti on his head.

Meerschaert took Gigliotti's back and landed several punches until he found the opening for a slick transition into the fight-ending submission.

The 23-year-old Gigliotti remains winless in two UFC appearances after starting his career 7-0.

Catchweight (116.4 lbs) Bout: Justine Kish def. Ashley Yoder via unanimous decision

Justine Kish stayed undefeated on Friday, but it wasn't easy.

The featured preliminary bout of UFC Fight Night 102 saw Kish and newcomer Ashley Yoder fight tooth-and-nail for 15 minutes, with Kish claiming victory via unanimous decision.

The story of this bout was Kish's aggression vs. Yoder's patience and grappling control. At times it looked like Kish was close to finishing Yoder on the mat, but Yoder kept finding ways to scramble out of danger and gain superior positions.

Unfortunately for Yoder, she couldn't do much damage from those positions and it was actually Kish who threatened with submissions from the bottom.

The standup favored Kish, though Yoder had her moments in Round 1.

However, Kish's kickboxing shined in the later rounds and she repeatedly scored points with both standard and unorthodox techniques:

Though Kish's spotless record remains intact, this win will come with a minor blemish as she missed weight on Thursday making her meeting with Yoder a 116.4-pound catchweight bout.

Yoder accepted this fight just three weeks after defeating Amber Brown by submission at Invicta FC 20. She sees a four-fight win streak snapped and is now 5-2 in her pro career.

Middleweight Bout: Andrew Sanchez def. Trevor Smith via unanimous decision

Andrew Sanchez looked like a new man in his UFC middleweight debut.

"El Dirte" handily picked Trevor Smith apart with crisp boxing through three rounds to take all three scorecards by a score of 30-27. The victory, Sanchez's fourth straight, improved his UFC record to 2-0.

Facing a crafty grappler in Smith, Sanchez rode his edge in speed to elude the veteran's clutches and beat him to the punch. Sanchez took the exchanges from the clinch, unloading a steady stream of uppercuts whenever Smith closed the distance. The "TUF 23" winner looked his best late in the round, sending Smith reeling with a solid right hook.

Sanchez would maintain control from there, scoring points with combinations from range while Smith appeared a step behind in the exchanges. "Hot Sauce" dug deep to return fire, only for Sanchez to reward his gamesmanship with more leather.

A waning Smith desperately shot for a takedown in Round 3, but Sanchez handily stuffed it before continuing to tune him for the remainder of their lopsided dance.

Smith sees a two-fight win streak snapped with the loss, dropping his UFC record to an even 4-4.
