Cejudo, 3 others receive 6-month precautionary medical suspensions

Not only did Henry Cejudo end up on the wrong end of a split decision on Saturday, he could also be out of action for the foreseeable future.

Cejudo suffered a hand injury in his co-main event bout with Joseph Benavidez at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale this past Saturday. The injury will require an X-ray, and a positive result would mean he requires clearance from an orthopedist before he can fight again, according to MMA Fighting.

Without clearance, Cejudo will be out until June 2, 2017.

Also potentially facing six-month medical suspensions are welterweight Jake Ellenberger, flyweight Ryan Benoit, and light heavyweight Devin Clark.

Ellenberger suffered a bizarre TKO loss to Jorge Masvidal when a missed attack resulted in Ellenberger's toe being trapped in the cage. After he was freed from the fence, referee Herb Dean waved off the bout due to an apparent foot injury.

Benoit damaged his nose in a loss to Brandon Moreno, while Clark injured his thumb in a win over Josh Stansbury. Ellenberger, Benoit, and Clark can also have their six-month suspensions waived with a doctor's clearance.
