UFC appoints new chief financial officer

Jason Silva / USA TODAY

The UFC continues to overhaul its personnel.

Andrew Schleimer will serve as its new chief financial officer (CFO), the promotion announced Monday. Schleimer will replace Nakisa Bidarian, who'll join former owners Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta at the end of the year in their work on a new direct investment platform.

According to WME-IMG co-head Ari Emanuel, the newly appointed CFO played a "pivotal role" in smoothing out the UFC's change in ownership following the agency's purchase of the promotion this past summer.

A Cornell University grad and former investment banker, Schleimer handled strategic development and in-park services for amusement park giant Six Flags before serving as the CFO of publicly traded digital firm Digital Turbine.
