Eight bouts announced for UFC Houston, including Zombie-Bermudez
The Octagon is going to be rocking on Super Bowl weekend.
A previously reported featherweight match between the returning Chan Sung Jung aka "The Korean Zombie" and Dennis Bermudez has been pegged as the main event of a Feb. 4 UFC Fight Night event in Houston.
Backing them up will be a bevy of contenders, including highly touted strawweight prospect Alexa Grasso challenging Felice Herrig, and one-time interim title challenger Ovince Saint Preux taking on Jan Blachowicz.
Grasso had a successful UFC debut this past November, soundly outpointing Heather Jo Clark to improve her overall record to 9-0. In Herrig, she gets an opponent who is a seven-year veteran with a 2-2 record inside the Octagon.
"OSP" is coming off of a disappointing second-round knockout at the hands of Jimi Manuwa in his most recent bout, and he'll face a fellow light heavyweight looking to rebound from a tough loss in Blachowicz. The Polish fighter lost a unanimous decision to Alexander Gustafsson in September.
