Report: UFC trims 13 fighters from roster

After a week that saw significant staff cuts in UFC offices around the globe, it appears the in-cage talent is next to go.
Thirteen fighters will no longer compete for the promotion, according to a report from MMA Fighting. The cuts include middleweight veterans Caio Magalhaes and Tamdan McCrory, former "Ultimate Fighter" contestants Kevin Casey, Glaico Franca, Cory Hendricks, and Enrique Marin, and one-time heavyweight title contender Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.

The UFC is undergoing severe downsizing following its $4-billion sale to WME-IMG in August. The latest round of releases could be just the start, as the promotion currently houses over 600 fighters.
