While the middleweight division sorts itself out, Gegard Mousasi is looking for a big name to help him keep busy.

"The Dreamcatcher" put out feelers Wednesday for a potential bout with UFC welterweight contender Nick Diaz. The always controversial Diaz was reinstated this past August after serving an 18-month suspension for a positive drug test stemming from marijuana metabolites.

The UFC has made no comment on possible opponents for Diaz, so Mousasi threw his name in the hat on Twitter:

Diaz has fought almost his entire career at 170 pounds, but he stepped up to 185 pounds in his most recent fight to face former UFC champion Anderson Silva. Mousasi would like to see Diaz stay in that weight class so that the two could put on an exciting and lucrative bout.

With four of the UFC's top middleweight contenders already booked in the coming months, Mousasi is the odd man out. He's called for a matchup with Silva in the past, and now he's added to his list of fights that are more about intrigue than improving his odds at getting a title shot.

Mousasi most recently defeated Vitor Belfort by second-round TKO at UFC 204. He has won three straight fights and sits at No. 5 in the UFC's official rankings.
