UFC confirms Alves will return against Miller at UFC 205
Thiago Alves' long-awaited return has a date.
Alves is set to end an 18-month layoff with a lightweight bout against durable veteran Jim Miller at UFC 205 in November, the UFC confirmed during Saturday's broadcast of UFC Fight Night 95.

"Pitbull" was initially reported to meet Al Iaquinta in the promotion's inaugural New York City show, but the latter's recent contractual gripes with the company temporarily shelved Alves' return. The Brazilian had teased a replacement days before the UFC confirmed previous rumblings alleging it would be Miller.
Alves last fought in May 2015, losing to Carlos Condit by TKO. He faces Miller on Nov. 12 at Madison Square Garden.
