Catchweight (159 pounds) Bout: Chad Laprise def. Thibault Gouti via 1st-round TKO

In a bout where both fighters were competing for their jobs, Chad Laprise literally beat Thibault Gouti to the punch.

Laprise is still gainfully employed after finishing Gouti in just 96 seconds in a "Loser Leaves Town" match. "The Disciple," who missed weight by three pounds, managed to plant his feet and drop a rushing Gouti with a right hand to the jaw, then swarmed the Frenchman with more punches to put him away.

Laprise improves to 4-2 in the promotion and lives to fight another day. Gouti, winless in all three of his UFC fights, will likely be handed his walking papers.

Lightweight Bout: Jeremy Kennedy def. Alessandro Ricci via unanimous decision

Jeremy Kennedy could not have scripted a more underwhelming homecoming.

The Surrey, British Columbia native dominated from the clinch for three straight rounds en route to a unanimous decision victory over Alessandro Ricci. "JBC" held the bigger Ricci against the cage for a full nine minutes, resorting to the tried-and-true tactic as soon as he sensed danger in the sporadic striking exchanges.

Kennedy's ugly, yet successful UFC debut improves his record to 8-0 while spoiling the 34 year-old Ricci's, who falls to 10-4.
