Adam Hunter has been removed from UFC on FOX 21 due to a potential Anti-Doping Violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample, according to a statement released by the promotion on Friday.

The 32-year-old middleweight was set to make his UFC debut on the preliminary portion of Saturday's card in Vancouver against Ryan Janes. With insufficient time to review Hunter's case, the bout has been cancelled.

Hunter was signed after winning his past seven fights on the regional scene all by knockout or submission. His last win came over four-fight UFC veteran Chris Dempsey.

A native of Victoria, British Columbia, Janes was also set to make his UFC debut coming off of a seven-fight win streak. Officials confirmed that he will be paid his show money.
