Report: Scoggins out of UFC 201 due to weight-cutting issues

Justin Scoggins has been removed from his UFC 201 flyweight fight against Ian McCall due to weight-cutting issues, reports Nick Baldwin of BloodyElbow.com, citing confirmation from the fighter's father.

Scoggins (11-2) and McCall (13-5-1) were scheduled to be the first fight of Saturday's main card in Atlanta. It is unknown whether the UFC, who have yet to confirm the decision, is searching for a short-notice opponent for McCall.

"We just had to make a horrible, disappointing call," said Chris Scoggins, Justin's father. "Justin could not get below 132.5 pounds. He was all good and his body just stopped allowing the weight to come off. No sweating, nothing. That's too much (of a) weight difference for a catchweight so Justin is out. This is horrible."

The 24-year-old Scoggins won his last two fights heading into the event, most recently defeating Ray Borg at a UFC Fight Night in February.
