Brown-Ellenberger booked for UFC 201

It didn't take long for Matt Brown to line up his next fight.

On the same day that Brown re-signed with the UFC for another eight fights, officials confirmed with ESPN that he will meet Jake Ellenberger at UFC 201 on July 30 in Atlanta.

The event will be headlined by a welterweight-title bout between champion Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley.

Brown has won eight of his last 11 fights, with the three losses coming against top welterweights Demian Maia, Johny Hendricks, and Lawler. He is currently ranked No. 8 in the UFC's official rankings.

Ellenberger is a former top-10 welterweight who has plummeted down the rankings with five losses in his last six contests, with three of those coming by way of knockout or submission. His most recent fight was a January decision loss to Tarec Saffiedine.
