"The Immortal" is going to be sticking around a lot longer.

Matt Brown signed a new eight-fight contract with the UFC on Wednesday, according to Damon Martin of FOX Sports.

The 35-year-old Brown has seen it all in the Octagon. Originally a contestant on "The Ultimate Fighter," Brown went 5-5 in his first 10 fights for the UFC before rattling off a seven-fight win streak from February 2012 to May 2014 that included six knockout victories.

The surprising surge vaulted Brown into the welterweight top-10 and though he's lost three of his last four matches, he currently sits at No. 8 in the official rankings.

Brown's UFC record fell to 13-8 after a submission loss to Demian Maia at UFC 198 on May 14.
