Cleveland's own Stipe Miocic is getting a home date for his first UFC heavyweight title defense.

On Wednesday, the UFC announced that Miocic will face the No. 3-ranked Alistair Overeem at UFC 203 on Sept. 10 at Quicken Loans Arena.

Miocic captured championship gold at UFC 198 on May 14 with a first-round knockout of Fabricio Werdum. It was the third straight knockout win for Miocic who has won six of his last seven fights.

The selection of Overeem comes as little surprise given his recent success. "The Demolition Man" has won four straight, including a knockout of former champion Junior dos Santos.

Overeem previously won titles in the Strikeforce, K-1, and DREAM promotions. This is his first shot at a UFC title.
