Diaz: I'd whoop both McGregor, Mayweather in one night

Nate Diaz's appearance on The MMA Hour on Wednesday was an interview to remember for the UFC's most beloved malcontent.

Prompted by host Ariel Helwani to discuss a number of topics, Diaz went all out on Conor McGregor, Floyd Mayweather, and pretty much everybody else -- except his brother, "the best fighter in the world."

McGregor? Mayweather? Diaz will take them both on

Diaz dismissed the incessant Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather rumors as a publicity stunt, and assured Helwani that he could take both men out.

"Hey, I call your bluff. Fight that motherf---er then, I'll be right here. I'm the only one out of the three of us who can say that I'll whoop both of their asses in one night. Conor can't say that. Floyd definitely cannot say that."

Diaz wants to get treated to a nice meal too

McGregor's recent meeting in Los Angeles with UFC executives Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta had Diaz feeling left out.

"They called my management the next day and said, 'So are you in or not (for a McGregor rematch)?' And I'm like, 'What the f---? Where the f--- is my dinner?' You know what I'm saying? Where's my special meeting?"

Dennis Siver gets caught in the crossfire

Though UFC veteran Dennis Siver has struggled in recent years, there was a time when he was highly ranked in the featherweight division. McGregor defeated him to earn an interim title shot in 2015, and so he became collateral damage as Diaz discredited McGregor's "artificial" resume:

"How come he was such a big deal when he beat Dennis Siver? Who the f--- is Dennis Siver? Is that guy even ranked? Get the f--- out here."

Fighters need to know their worth

One thing Diaz and McGregor agree on is that the UFC needs to pay them big bucks to get them back in the cage together. Diaz raged against fighters who proudly boast that they'll fight anyone for free, since it messes with everyone else's paychecks.

He was particularly perturbed by the fact that he's shedding blood in front of an audience that includes celebrities making a lot more money than him:

"We're entertaining entertainers. So shouldn't that make us the creme de la creme, shouldn't we be the best of the best? Like, shouldn't we be paid the f--- out? Why are you fighting for free, you dumb s--- motherf---er? That s--- gets on my last nerve."

'How much do you want to fight McGregor?'

To show that he practices what he preaches, Diaz jokingly threw out a wild figure when asked what he wants to get paid for a McGregor rematch:

"$100 million, up front, and then (a PPV bonus). More. More than that even. But it's all good, we'll see what I got and then we'll meet in the middle somewhere."

Diaz gets real about his brother

Nate and his older brother Nick have always been close, and Nick's responsible for getting Nate involved in fighting in the first place. The younger Diaz described the bond the two have:

"I understand why he feels that he got me into (MMA), because he did ... He's my brother and my training partner, but he's my guy, like I'm Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Richard Perez Boxing, but as a martial artist, I'm a product of Nick Diaz.

"So I give all the positives and all the outcomes, I credit him and I'm happy that he put me on this journey. And any negatives that come out, anything that happens with me, I feel bad that I let him down in any way ... It's like, 'I hope I didn't piss Nick off on this one.' I don't feel like that with nobody, but that's my bro and I think that he's the best fighter in the world and he deserves all the credit."
