Sporting Kansas City has completed the acquisition of Emmanuel Appiah, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft who was dumped by the Colorado Rapids on June 30.
The transaction for the 22-year-old came shortly before Peter Vermes' side welcomed Cameron Porter to Missouri from the Montreal Impact in exchange for Amadou Dia.

"Emmanuel is a player who we scouted in college and watched closely at the Combine," said Vermes. "He is a young midfielder who possesses a lot of qualities that our staff likes and we look forward to integrating him into our system."
Appiah has been added to the roster for Wednesday's trip to the Chicago Fire.
