Royals-White Sox suspended Friday after 8 innings due to rain, will resume play Saturday

Friday's affair between the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field has been suspended after eight innings due to rain.
The game will resume shortly after 1 p.m. local time Saturday, and will be followed by the regularly scheduled matinee if Mother Nature cooperates.
The contest was tied 2-2 at the time of the initial rain delay.
