Indians' Kluber: 'I don't have any added pressure' this season
Cleveland Indians right-hander Corey Kluber isn't going to fly under the radar this season.
The soon-to-be 29-year-old rattled off an American League-best 18 wins last season en route to claiming the AL Cy Young, but the accolades from 2014's spectacular campaign aren't causing him any additional duress.
"I don't set number goals or anything like that for myself," Kluber told ESPN. "To me I don't have any added pressure or anything like that cause I probably hold myself to a higher standard anyways."
Kluber heads arguably the best rotation in the AL Central, which is expected to have one of the tightest divisional races this season.
"I think Tito (manager Terry Francona) says it all the time, 'Obviously we wish the division wasn't very good,' but (it is) and it's something we're looking forward to," Kluber said. "It will be a lot of fun, close-fought games."
The Indians finished five games back of the Detroit Tigers last season in the division.
