Red Sox manager: Dustin Pedroia cleared to resume all baseball activities

The heart and soul of the Boston Red Sox will be 100-percent healthy and ready to go for spring training.

Second baseman Dustin Pedroia has been cleared to resume all baseball activities, manager John Farrell revealed Wednesday on MLB Network Radio.

Pedroia underwent surgery on Sept. 11 to repair a tendon in his left wrist (catching hand), and is looking to rebound after a sub par 2014 campaign in which he posted career lows in most offensive categories.

The 31-year-old inked a massive eight-year, $110-million contract extension in 2013, and the long-term health of the former American League MVP is a huge concern for the organization.
