Braves' Markakis takes out ad to thank Orioles fans

Nick Markakis signed with his hometown Atlanta Braves this offseason after spending his entire nine-year career as a member of the Baltimore Orioles. 

On Wednesday, Markakis took out a two-page ad in the Baltimore Sun to thank the Orioles and their fans. 

Markakis appeared in 1,365 games with the Orioles after the team selected him seventh overall in 2003. The two-time Gold Glove winner owns a career .290/.358/.435 slash line with 141 home runs and 658 RBIs during his time in Baltimore.
