Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Glavine spent his entire 22-year career in the National League East, and it appears he wants to dive back into the division, albeit in a different capacity.

Glavine is part of a group led by Tagg Romney - the son of former U.S. presidential candidate Mitt - that's looking to buy the Miami Marlins, according to Scott Soshnick of Bloomberg News, citing a person with knowledge of the process.

The former Atlanta Braves great's bidding group will reportedly compete with a separate group that includes former Florida governor Jeb Bush and former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who allegedly formed a partnership to purchase the team earlier this week.

On Thursday afternoon, a separate report from Soshnick claimed all final bids to purchase the Marlins were submitted some time last week, and the bids ranged from $1.2 billion to $1.3 billion.

The 51-year-old Glavine won two Cy Young awards with the Braves during his career and appeared in 10 All-Star games.

He retired after the 2008 season, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014 after amassing 305 career wins. He also earned more than $129 million.
